Solid structural timber – types of wood

Solid structural timber (KVH®) is trimmed timber made from coniferous wood according to the state of the art for modern timber construction applications. Solid structural timber is used mostly in timber frame house construction for building walls, ceilings and roofs.

We manufacture solid structural timber (KVH®) from the following wood species:

  • Spruce
  • Pine
  • Douglas fir

We produce solid structural timber for visible and invisible areas, manufactured according to sorting criteria and characteristics for solid structural timber, acc. to DIN 4074/S10.

We have joined the Monitoring Association for Solid Structural Timber from German Production in order to allow the inspection of compliance with the special requirements through voluntary external monitoring. In addition, we are externally monitored by the Stuttgart Research and Materials Testing Institute (MPA) that includes the solid structural timber product.
